If you are looking for a cool London rooftop bar with breathtaking and unique views over the city, well…I got you covered! The cloudM rooftop bar is exactly the place you need to visit and definitely one of my favourite places in the whole city.
Situated at the 7th floor of the citizenM in Tower Hill, I discovered this hidden gem a few years ago, when it first opened. Its arty and modern interiors, its bright big windows and its truly unbelievable views over the city were the reasons why I fell in love with it at first sight. Not just that, the cloudM bar offers an outstanding wraparound terrace from where you will be able to enjoy *epic* views of London’s skyline: from Tower of London and Tower Bridge to the Shard and the Gherkin, just to name a few…how amazing?! This incredible location was the setting of the East London Liquor Company event I took part a few days ago. Now, imagine my excitement when I received the invite: what a great opportunity to rediscover one of the most beautiful bars in town while learning about a young and driven UK based company?!
Distilling since 2014 the ELLC is located in a converted glue factory in Bow Wharf, East London, and produces its own-brand gins: a London Dry Gin and two premium gins. They focus on traditional British recipes using 100% British wheat for the production of small batch gin and vodka.
It was my first time getting to know the brand and it was a pleasure hearing about such high quality spirits. They couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate their products too: delicious gin based cocktails were served at the cloudM bar counter, which sits in between floor- to-ceiling bookcases filled with unique objects and books…I told you this place is cool!
The atmosphere was just magical: sipping mouthwatering cocktails while admiring the iconic landmarks of one of the most gorgeous cities in the world…I mean, isn’t that dreamy?!

The tasting class was really interesting too. It was great to have an insight about the different types of gin they produce, the flavours and the process of making them too. Truly intriguing.
The ELLC is serving two unique cocktails here at the cloudM: the Rhubarbara Windsor and Charlie Farqueson, both *so* lovely but if I really need to pick a favourite that would be the second one. The Farqueson it is a gin based pinky cocktail (very grammable!), fresh but with a dash of sweetness – just what I love!
Overall I had a blast. Such a wonderful evening spent catching up with old and new friends, learning about the #ELLC surrounded by the beauty of the #cloudM while soaking up one of the best skylines in the world.
